Diane S. Goostree
Ms. Goostree has 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industries. She was a key executive building SkinMedica® from 2002 onward. Prior to her appointment as CEO of ALASTIN Skincare™, she was the CEO of Intrepid Therapeutics, Inc., developing new molecules for prescription dermatology products. Her background includes experience in business development, R&D, sales and marketing, manufacturing, and general management. Ms. Goostree’s career successes have included significant capital raises, obtaining FDA approval for products and medical devices, and taking a company public. Ms. Goostree holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas and earned her MBA from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
Alan Widgerow MBBCh (MD); MMed (MHS); FCS; FACS
Chief Medical Officer
Professor Widgerow spent 20 years in private plastic surgical practice in South Africa before relocating to southern California in 2009 to pursue his interests in research, medical device innovations, and wound care. In 2012, he joined the University of California Irvine Plastic Surgery Division as Adjunct Professor and Director of the Center for Tissue Engineering. He has developed multiple products, among them, Scar Recovery Gel (topical scar product), Burnshield Advance (tensile silicone sheet), COMFIflow™ (nasal cannula), COVERSCIENCE®(healing make-up), DERMAPPROX® (wound approximator), Flavonix® (topical antibiofilm preparation), many of which are sold in several countries for the plastic surgery and dermatology markets. Professor Widgerow continues to play an active role in academic medicine world-wide, and his exceptional scientific knowledge of wound healing, cellular, and skin aging is invaluable to the design of ALASTIN Skincare™ clinical studies and new product development.
Mr. Garruto was the founding formulation scientist and former Vice President of Formulation Development at SkinMedica®, Inc. Developer of SkinMedica’s® successful TNS line, Mr. Garruto has 38 years of experience as a formulating chemist and technical consultant to the personal care industry. He has formulated thousands of products and been granted numerous patents for products in the area of skincare and personal care.
Vice President, Finance and Accounting
Mr. Christenson has over 25 years of professional level experience in finance and accounting, primarily in healthcare-related industries. Prior to joining ALASTIN Skincare™,he provided financial leadership to several local companies including Diversa Corporation, SkinMedica®, Inc., and most recently, Zogenix, Inc. His background includes debt and equity financings, pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical product launches, and business development and M&A transactions. Mr. Christenson holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Irvine and an MBA in Finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Vice President, Marketing
Wendy Johnson brings to Alastin Skincare over 22 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and aesthetics industry experience in various sales, training, marketing and thought leader development roles. After spending 10 years in gastroenterology at Tap Pharmaceuticals and Prometheus Laboratories, with sales and marketing oversight for in-line and pre-launch products, Mrs. Johnson transitioned to an aesthetic career at SkinMedica in 2004. While there, she was responsible for marketing one of the top 2 branded prescription hydroquinones, launching a leading branded low potency steroid, and oversight of the acne franchise line extensions. In 2010, Wendy joined Merz North America where she developed and managed the Physician Relations department in support of injectable, topical and device business units under Medical Affairs, before transitioning into managing a Regional Aesthetics Marketing team.
Vice President, Commercial Operations & Strategic Planning
Mr. Ramsinghani has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device space both in consulting and industry roles. He led the commercial operations group at Kythera and built the commercial operations infrastructure from the ground up in advance of the Kybella™ launch. He also was an Associate Principal with ZS Associates and supported multiple healthcare clients to launch or improve performance of their products. During his consulting career, he supported Allergan’s aesthetics business (including injectables, SkinMedica, and plastic surgery.) Mr. Ramsinghani has an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Director of Sales, West
Ms. Fountotos has 20 years of experience in the aesthetics and pharmaceutical industry in numerous sales, management and KOL development roles. During her tenure at SkinMedica® she was a member of the original sales team launching the brand to physicians, developing new accounts, and initiating physician partnerships. In her roles as Area Director and Professional Relations Manager at Allergan, Inc., she established relationships to leverage across all Allergan, Inc.'s aesthetic brands, collaborated and worked cross-functionally with Facial Aesthetics, Marketing, R&D, Executive Management, Regulatory and Compliance. Ms. Fountotos has a critical role building the sales force and supporting the launch of ALASTIN Skincare™ products.
Director of Sales, East
Evan Brezak has 17 years of experience in the specialty pharmaceutical and aesthetic industry holding numerous roles in sales, management, training both domestic and abroad and KOL development. Mr. Brezak was one of the original members of the SkinMedica®sales team introducing the successful TNS line to physician’s practices. While at Allergan, Inc., Mr. Brezak assumed the responsibilities of Area Director and Senior Professional Relations Manager where his responsibilities included KOL development, participation in LATISSE® and SkinMedica® Marketing Advisory Boards while developing relationships to leverage across all Allergan, Inc.'s aesthetic brands. In 2014, Mr. Brezak joined Colorescience® as their Executive Director Sales working cross functionally with their Omni Channel Team, Operations, Finance, Training, HR, Product Development and Marketing.
Director of Sales, Central
Angie Johnston has 18 years of experience in specialty pharmaceuticals and the aesthetics industry holding numerous roles in sales, management and training. Ms. Johnston was also a member of the original SkinMedica sales team responsible for launching the line to physicians, developing new partnerships and account management. She was among the first in the Strategic Account Manager program which was highly focused on the growth of medical retail profit centers at a regional level. While at Allergan, she was the Field Training Manager for the eastern half of the US responsible for in-field training on business principals. In 2014, Ms. Johnston joined Colorescience as a Regional Sales Manager working cross functionally with Operations, Finance, Executive leadership, HR, Marketing and Training.
Director of Education & Training
Erin has a foundation of successful Sales, Management, and Training & Education experience. Ms. Greer began her career in the Medical Device arena with Medtronic Diabetes and held numerous positions during her tenure. In 2011, she joined SkinMedica® as the Aesthetic Sales Training Manager. In 2013, during the acquisition integration of SkinMedica® to Allergan, Inc., Erin cross-trained the entire SkinMedica®, VIVITE®, and LATISSE® sales organizations. While at Allergan, Inc., she launched several SkinMedica® portfolio products and held positions as National Sales Training Manager and Mid-Atlantic Regional Sales Manager.
Director of Marketing
Brenda brings 19 years of experience in global integrated healthcare communications. After spending 10 years in pharmaceutical sales with Schering Plough and Pharmacia, she transitioned into pharmaceutical marketing and spent two years at SkinMedica launching 4 aesthetic skincare products. Experienced with pharmaceutical, medical device, and aesthetic skincare marketing, Brenda also brings significant creative and promotional communications agency experience. She has worked on well over 100 brands in her career in both sales and marketing roles.
Director of Operations
Mr. O’Donnell has 25 years of experience in the health & beauty industry, including skincare, haircare and cosmetics. He was in the Supply Chain for SkinMedica since 2009, and continued on with Allergan after their purchase. Prior to SkinMedica, Mr. O’Donnell also worked in Supply Chain & Operations for Aveda, Graham Webb/Wella and Procter & Gamble. His background includes experiences includes procurement, contract manufacturing, contract management. Mr. O’Donnell is APICS certified and very connected with the APICS community
